Charisse Coulombe has more than 25 years-experience in healthcare quality, patient safety and process improvement much of it in leading complex, multi-institutional projects and data systems – both mining and analytics – that achieved demonstrative, positive quality gains benefiting patients, caregivers and organizations. She holds masters’ degrees in biology and business and is a certified professional of healthcare quality, certified professional in patient safety, certified professional in healthcare information management systems as well as six-sigma black belt. She is an adjunct faculty member of the Thomas Jefferson University School of Population Health. She is also a National Baldrige Examiner.
She led five national projects, including the HRSA Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Program (Flex), the CMS Hospital Quality Improvement project, the CMS Hospital Improvement Innovation Network and the CMS Hospital Engagement Network involving 34 state partners and more than 1,600 organizations addressing key quality measures and working to drastically improve patient safety through the reduction of falls, adverse drug events, hospital-acquired infections and more.
